Vacuum Tubes

Vacuum tubes are glass tubes employed to generate a solid, slag-free metal sample for analysis. This process involves creating a vacuum that draws molten metal into the tube.  Upon cooling, the glass shatters, leaving behind a metal pin sample for further analysis.
